Description
Normolip 300 mg Capsule is a body fat regulating medicine. It is used to treat hyperlipidaemia (abnormally high levels of bad cholesterol such as low-density lipoprotein and triglycerides in the blood). It is also used to prevent conditions such as heart attack (blood supply to the heart is blocked), stroke (a brain condition that causes interruption of blood supply to the brain), or atherosclerosis (accumulation of fat on the walls of blood vessels) caused due to high cholesterol and triglycerides levels. It works by reducing the levels of bad cholesterol such as LDL (low-density lipoprotein) and triglycerides and increasing the levels of good cholesterol (HDL-high-density lipoprotein) in the blood. Normolip 300 mg Capsule shows side effects such as impotence (loss of interest in sex), diarrhoea, stomach pain, numbness or tingling sensation, pain in muscles or joints, etc. These side effects usually subside with time. However, consult your doctor for further assistance if they persist or worsen. As this medicine can cause dizziness, avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines unless you know how this medicine affects you. Normolip 300 mg Capsule can be taken 30 minutes before a meal. Do not chew, crush, or break the capsule. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Take the medicine at the same time daily for the ease of remembering. Adapt lifestyle changes such as eating a diet low in salt and fat, indulging in physical activities, quitting smoking, avoiding consumption of alcohol, and losing weight if necessary, to get maximum benefits. Normolip 300 mg Capsule is not recommended if you are allergic to it or have liver conditions, gallstones (accumulation of hardened material in your gallbladder, a small organ under your liver), or severe kidney conditions. Consult your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or taking any other medications to make sure this medicine is safe for you. Normolip 300 mg Capsule is not recommended in children below 18 years of age due to the lack of safety and efficacy data. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
