Normal Saline (Albert) 0.9 % Infusion is used as a source of electrolytes and water during parenteral nutrition, a priming solution for hemodialysis procedures, for restoring or maintaining sodium and chloride ions concentration, treatment of fluid loss, a vehicle for the reconstitution and administration of intravenous medications, etc.

General warnings

Hyperchloremia

This medicine may increase the chloride ions in the blood and cause an electrolyte disturbance. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hypernatremia

This medicine may increase the sodium levels in the blood. Report any symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, increased thirst, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, fast heart rate, etc. to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of blood sodium levels is recommended during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hypervolemia

This medicine may cause fluid overload in some patients. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Hypersensitivity reactions
