Description
Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is used to relieve the symptoms of angina (chest pain or discomfort caused when your heart muscle does not get enough oxygen-rich blood). This medicine relieves angina by relaxing blood vessels and facilitating more blood and oxygen to reach your heart. It is also used to prevent an attack of angina. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray shows side effects like headache, drowsiness and dizziness. Hence, do not drive or do anything that requires mental alertness while on this medication. Inform your doctor if the side effects become severe or persist for a long time. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray has to be used just before any activity that typically causes angina such as exercising, climbing stairs, etc. Spray it under your tongue so that it starts showing its effect immediately. If your chest pain lasts longer than 15 minutes, seek immediate medical attention. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray contains alcohol. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about any other health issues you have or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking Nitrocin 25 MG Spray.

Allergy

Anaemia

Anaemia is a condition in which your blood does not have enough healthy red blood cells. Do not take Nitrocin 25 MG Spray if you are anaemic or have low levels of haemoglobin (blood cells that carry oxygen throughout your body) in your blood. Large doses of this medicine may cause the haemoglobin to lose its capacity to carry oxygen. Thus, worsening your condition.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damage the optic nerve (a nerve responsible for good vision). It is caused by abnormally high pressure in your eye, which can also lead to blindness. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is not recommended for use if you have glaucoma as this medicine may also increase pressure inside your eyes and lead to blindness.

Increased intracranial pressure

Intracranial pressure (ICP) is the pressure exerted by fluids such as cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) inside your skull and on the brain tissue. This pressure change usually happens because of any kind of trauma to the skull and brain tissue. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is not recommended if you have any condition in which the intracranial pressure is elevated, as this medicine may worsen your condition.

Medicine for erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction occurs when a man cannot get or keep an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is not recommended for use if you are taking medicines for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

Pericarditis

Pericarditis is a swelling and irritation in the pericardium (the thin, sac-like membrane that surrounds your heart). Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is not recommended if you have pericarditis. This medicine may lower your cardiac output (the amount of blood your heart pumps each minute) which can further worsen your condition.

Do not use Nitrocin 25 MG Spray to treat chest pain associated with other causes like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart muscles). The condition may worsen if you use this medicine.

Methemoglobinemia

Methemoglobinemia (MetHb) is a blood disorder in which an abnormal amount of methemoglobin is produced. Methemoglobin is a form of haemoglobin that carries oxygen throughout your body. Use of Nitrocin 25 MG Spray may affect your red blood cells and cause changes in the haemoglobin resulting in hypoxia (low oxygen reaching the tissues) leading to symptoms like the appearance of a bluish tinge on your skin, nails and lips, headache, fatigue, lack of energy etc. Inform your doctor if you experience any such signs and symptoms.

Nitrocin 25 MG Spray is taken when required, so the chance of missing a dose is not applicable. You can ask your doctor for more information about this.

Overdose

If you have accidentally or intentionally sprayed more than the required times of Nitrocin 25 MG Spray then you might feel side effects like slow breathing and heart rate, severe drowsiness, muscle weakness, cold and sweaty skin, pinpoint pupils, and fainting. Hypotension refers to low blood pressure. Nitrocin 25 MG Spray should be used with extreme caution if you have low blood pressure (<90 mm Hg). This medication may further lower your blood pressure and can worsen your condition.
