Description
Nilac Gel is a medicine that consists of Clindamycin and Niacinamide. It is used to treat acne (pimples, blackheads and whiteheads) on your face, back, and chest caused by bacteria. It helps in reducing excess oil production, blackheads, whiteheads, or painful lumps beneath the skin. This provides relief from the pimples, reduces tenderness and swelling and helps in the recovery of the skin. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause acne and by reducing the redness and, swelling associated with it. Nilac Gel may cause some side effects like rashes, blistering of the skin, irritation, or burning sensation at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Your doctor may suggest a patch test to check if this medicine is safe and non-allergenic for you before starting the treatment with it. Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. Nilac Gel is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply a thin layer of it over the affected parts of your skin. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose and mouth. Rinse with water immediately if the medicine comes in contact with these areas accidentally. Nilac Gel may make your skin sensitive to sunlight, so use sunscreen to protect your skin. It may take a few days or weeks to improve your condition. Therefore, it is advised to complete the whole treatment with this medicine as prescribed Nilac Gel should be used only after consultation with your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Inform your doctor if the condition has not cleared up even after three weeks of the treatment.

Eczema

Eczema/dermatitis is a skin condition in which there is itchiness, swelling, and cracked skin. Do not use Nilac Gel if you have eczema as it may cause severe skin irritation on the eczematous skin.

Colitis

Use of Nilac Gel in large amounts may get absorbed through the skin surface. This may result in diarrhoea with or without blood and colitis (swelling and irritation of the intestine). Your doctor may prescribe an alternative or adjust the dose of this medicine based on your clinical condition.

How it works
