How it works
Cilnidipine acts by blocking the influx of calcium (responsible for the contraction of blood vessels) in muscles (smooth muscles) of blood vessels and causes relaxation, thereby promoting the smooth flow of blood. Nebivolol specifically works on the heart by slowing the heartbeat and also relaxes the blood vessels. This results in improved blood flow to the heart, therefore the blood pressure is lowered.
