Description
Neosporin H Ear Drops is a combination of Neomycin, Polymyxin B, and Hydrocortisone. It is used to treat bacterial infections affecting the ear canal, which is the tube between the outer ear and the eardrum. It also reduces pain and swelling that may occur due to an infection. Neosporin H Ear Drops may cause some side effects like irritation and burning sensation at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects worsen or do not resolve with time. Neosporin H Ear Drops is meant for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not use it for more than the prescribed duration as it may result in the development of secondary infections (an infection that occurs during or after treatment for another infection). Instill Neosporin H Ear Drops the the affected ear(s) as instructed by your doctor. Follow the directions on the label or package insert. Clean and dry your ear canal with sterile cotton before use. Shake the bottle well before each use. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper with your fingers or the ear area, as it can contaminate the dropper and the solution. Neosporin H Ear Drops is meant for external use in the ear only. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, nose, open wounds, or burns. In case of any accidental contact, wash thoroughly with water. Avoid taking Neosporin H Ear Drops in larger or smaller quantities than prescribed. Instill the drops at regular intervals as directed by your doctor for the best results. Complete the entire course of treatment even if you feel better after a few days to prevent the risk of re-infection that would be difficult to treat. Consult your doctor if your symptoms do not resolve or become worse within a week of use.
