Description
Nebracin 0.3 % Ointment is a topical antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections. It works by blocking the production of essential proteins required for bacterial growth. This prevents further growth and kills the infection-causing bacteria. Nebracin 0.3 % Ointment may cause side effects such as blurred vision, swelling of eyelids, itchiness, redness, irritation, or burning/stinging sensation in your eyes, etc. These symptoms usually subside on their own. However, consult your doctor if they persist or worsen. Nebracin 0.3 % Ointment should be instilled in your eyes as prescribed by your doctor. You will start to feel better in a few days. However, continue using the medicine for the prescribed duration. Skipping doses or not completing the course of treatment may result in decreased effectiveness of the medicine or increased risk of re-infection that would be difficult to treat in the future. This medicine is effective only for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria and not viruses. Nebracin 0.3 % Ointment is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have any other eye conditions or using any other eye drops. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medication.
