Description
Napra-D-500 Tablet is a combination of Naproxen and Domperidone used to treat migraine headaches (intense pounding headaches that occur usually on one side of the head). This medicine blocks the action of chemical substances in your body that cause pain, thus helpful in treating migraine. It also blocks the action of a chemical substance in your brain that causes nausea associated with migraine. Napra-D-500 Tablet shows side effects like headache, stomach pain, dry mouth, and diarrhoea. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Napra-D-500 Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or visual disturbances in some cases. Maintain caution while driving vehicles or performing activities that require concentration if you take this medicine. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as it can increase your risk of stomach problems. Napra-D-500 Tablet should be taken with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Avoid taking more than the recommended dose. Your doctor may regularly monitor your kidney and liver function, and levels of blood components if you are taking this medicine for long-term treatment. Napra-D-500 Tablet is not suitable for everyone. Inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney problems, or clotting disorders (blood does not clot normally, causing excessive bleeding) to make sure this medicine is safe for you. Tumor of pituitary gland

The pituitary gland is a small pea-sized gland that plays a major role in regulating vital body functions and general wellbeing. Napra-D-500 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a tumour of the pituitary gland as it may worsen your condition.

Heart diseases

Napra-D-500 Tablet may cause an irregular heartbeat. Hence, this medicine is not recommended if you have pre-existing heart conditions like congestive heart failure (a condition in which your heart is not able to pump sufficient blood throughout the body), QT prolongation (heart muscle takes longer than normal to recharge between a heartbeat), etc., as it may worsen your condition. Also, it is not recommended for use before and after coronary artery bypass surgery (a surgical procedure that is performed to restore normal blood flow to the heart), as it may increase the risk of other complications.

Allergy

Avoid taking Napra-D-500 Tablet if you are allergic to this medicine. Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as a skin rash, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting), swelling (especially of the face, lips, tongue, etc.), breathing difficulty, etc.

NSAID-induced asthma

NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are a class of medications used to relieve pain and swelling. NSAID-induced asthma is an allergic condition that causes narrowing of the airways due to the use of NSAIDs. Napra-D-500 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a history of NSAID-induced asthma as it may further worsen your condition.

Peptic ulcer

Peptic ulcers are open sores on the inner lining of your stomach and the upper region of your small intestine. Napra-D-500 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have peptic ulcers, as this medicine may cause stomach bleeding and worsen your condition.

Moderate to severe liver impairment

Napra-D-500 Tablet gets broken down in the liver. Impaired liver function may cause an accumulation of this medicine in the body and increase the risk of undesired effects. Therefore, it is not recommended for use if you have moderate to severe liver problems as it can cause further liver damage and worsen your condition.

Prolactin imbalance

Using high doses of Napra-D-500 Tablet for a longer period may cause an imbalance in the prolactin levels in the body, resulting in disturbances in the menstrual cycle in women.

Driving or operating machines

Napra-D-500 Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision. Avoid performing activities that require mental alertness, such as driving vehicles or operating machines, if you experience such symptoms after taking this medicine.

Use in children

Napra-D-500 Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not available.

Bleeding disorder
