Description

Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and certain other heart conditions. Along with taking this medicine, it is important to maintain a proper diet and exercise regularly. Do not take this medicine if you have a known allergy to it.

  • Allergy

    Avoid if you have a known allergy to Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet or any medicine of the same class.
  • Aliskiren

    Use of these medicines is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease with CrCl less than 60 ml/min.

Warnings for special population

  • Pregnancy

    - This medicine is not recommended for pregnant women.
  • Breast-feeding

    - This medicine is not recommended for breastfeeding women.

General warnings

  • Hypotension

    - Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or who are treated with high dose diuretics. Correct the condition before starting Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet or start the treatment at reduced doses.
  • Hyperkalemia

    - Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet may cause an increase in the potassium levels in the blood. Use with caution in patients with concomitant use of potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements and in patients with impaired kidney function.
  • Impaired liver function

    - Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet may rarely cause liver injury. Discontinue the medicine if any signs of liver injury like increased liver enzyme levels.
  • Pediatric population

    - The safety and efficacy of Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet have not been established in children age below 18 years.
  • Cough

    - Namipril 2.5 MG Tablet may cause persistent nonproductive cough and is resolved when the medicine is discontinued.
