Description
Naltivive-50 Tablet is used along with counseling and social support to help patients who are dependent on alcohol to abstain from drinking alcoholic drinks. It is not effective if the consumption of alcohol or other substances of abuse is continued. It is also used to treat opioid dependence or opioid addiction. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Pregnancy

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking/receiving this medicine.

Breast-feeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking/receiving this medicine.
General warnings

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Kidney impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with an impaired kidney function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of kidney function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment.

Liver impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with an impaired liver function due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver impairment.

Depression and suicidal tendencies

This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of depression and suicidal tendencies. This risk is especially higher in young patients. Patients should be closely monitored for any change in mood or behavior. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Opioid analgesics

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients receiving opioid analgesics, currently physiologically opioid dependent and who are in acute opioid withdrawal.

Driving or operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause blurred vision or dizziness in some patients. It may also affect thinking, decision making, and coordination. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Missed Dose

Tablet: The missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose. Injection: Since this medicine is usually administered by a qualified healthcare professional in the clinical/hospital setting, the likelihood of a missed dose is very low. However, it is advised to contact the doctor immediately if you miss a scheduled dose of this medicine.

Overdose

Tablet: Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose. Injection: Since this medicine is administered in the hospital setting by a qualified healthcare professional, the likelihood of an overdose is very less. However, emergency medical treatment will be initiated by the doctor if an overdose is suspected.
