Description
Mycolon C Tablet is used to relieve abdominal pain, spasm, flatulence, and other symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and also the excessive tension and anxiety associated with IBS. It is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

General warnings

Kidney Diseases

Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Acute Porphyria

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients suffering from acute porphyria due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Replacement with a suitable alternative should be considered based on the clinical condition of the patient.

Liver Diseases

This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with liver function impairment or active liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function is necessary while receiving this medicine. Report any symptoms such as nausea, fever, rashes, dark urine, etc. to the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

How it works
Chlordiazepoxide works by stabilizing the brain cells and thus reduces the excitability of the brain cells. Mebeverine relaxes the muscles in the walls of the intestines and thereby relieves the symptoms such as spasms, pain, cramps, etc. associated with irritable bowel syndrome.
