Description

Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is an effective antiulcer medication used to prevent the secretion of acid in the stomach. It is primarily used to prevent ulcers caused due to non-steroidal pain medication. This medicine can cause uterine contraction and is sometimes used for labor induction and termination of pregnancy.

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is used to prevent and relieve the symptoms of ulcers caused in the upper parts of the small intestine.
  • Gastric Ulcer

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is used to prevent and relieve the symptoms of ulcers caused in the food pipe and stomach.
  • NSAID induced ulcers

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is used to prevent and treat ulcers caused due to use of non-steroidal pain medications like diclofenac, ibuprofen etc.
  • Induction of labor

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is used to induce labor in pregnant women.
  • Postpartum bleeding

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is also used to prevent and treat bleeding that happens after delivery.
  • Cervical ripening

    Misotrax 100 MG Tablet is also used for relaxing and softening the cervix prior to the onset of labor contractions.
  • Termination of pregnancy

Contraindications of Misotrax 100 MG Tablet

  • Pregnancy

    This medicine should not be used to treat ulcers caused by the uptake of non-steroidal pain medication or otherwise by pregnant women. It can cause birth defects, abortions, uterine rupture etc.
  • Allergy

    This medicine is not recommended for use if you have a history of allergy to it or any other medicine which are prostaglandin analogues.

  • Overdose

Take Misotrax 100 MG Tablet as instructed by the doctor. This medicine is usually taken with meals before bedtime. An adequate amount of water should be consumed while taking this medicine. Certain temporary side effects like nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain are likely in the first few days after you start taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if these symptoms last for more than a week.

  • Uterine rupture

    - Use of this medicine can cause diarrhea and hence should not be coadministered with other diarrhea causing medications.
  • Severe anemia

    - Use of this medicine is not recommended for women with severe anemia.

    - The safety and efficacy of this medicine is not established for patients suffering from heart disease, diabetes, kidney impairment or respiratory disease. Hence, caution is advised in such cases.
  • Use in smokkers

    - This medicine should be used with caution in patients who are heavy smokers as the risk of adverse effects is significantly higher.
  • Use in pregnancy
