Metronidazole 500 MG Infusion is an antiprotozoal which helps in treating infections in the stomach, genital areas. It is not recommended to take with alcohol with this medicine. Take this medicine only if it is necessary to reduce the development of resistance.

Usage in pregnancy?

This medicine is not recommended in the first trimester of pregnancy to treat bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis. It can be used in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy only if clearly needed.

Usage while breast-feeding?

This medicine is known to excreted through the breastmilk. It is used in breastfeeding women only if clearly needed. Breastfeeding should be avoided for 24 hours after single-dose maternal treatment. Monitoring of candidal infections and diarrhea is necessary.
