Description
Maxgalin M 150 Capsule is a combination of Pregabalin and Methylcobalamin. It is used in the treatment of pain caused due to nerve damage. It relieves pain by decreasing certain chemicals that send pain signals throughout your body. It also repairs the damaged nerves. Maxgalin M 150 Capsule may cause side effects like nausea, dry mouth, swelling in your arms or feet, weight gain, weakness, and confusion. These symptoms may subside by themselves. Consult your doctor if they bother you. You can manage weight gain with regular exercise. Avoid driving or operating heavy machines as it may cause drowsiness. Maxgalin M 150 Capsule may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day for better results. Your doctor will determine the dosage and duration of this medication based on your condition. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms like headache, mood swings, irritation, etc. Maxgalin M 150 Capsule is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney or heart problems. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as there is no safety and efficacy data established. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Leber's Disease is an inherited eye disorder that may lead to loss of vision. The symptoms are a pain in the eye, blurring of vision, colour blindness, etc. Maxgalin M 150 Capsule is not recommended for use if you have this rare eye condition.

General warnings

Kidney disease

Use Maxgalin M 150 Capsule with caution if you have kidney problems as this medicine is excreted via the urine. Your doctor will closely monitor the kidney function while using this medicine. Your doctor may recommend dose adjustment or an alternative medicine based on your clinical condition.

Suicidal tendencies

Use Maxgalin M 150 Capsule with caution as it can cause suicidal thoughts, especially if you have displayed such tendencies in your past. Close monitoring of mood and behaviour is recommended. Inform your doctor if you experience any symptoms.

Driving or operating machines

Use of Maxgalin M 150 Capsule may increase the risk of drowsiness, dizziness, difficulty in concentrating, etc. Hence, avoid performing activities such as driving or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms.

Withdrawal symptoms

Sudden discontinuation of Maxgalin M 150 Capsule may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, mood swings, depression, nervousness, etc. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Heart disease

Use Maxgalin M 150 Capsule with caution if you have heart problems as it causes abnormal heart rhythm which could result in further complications. This medicine may also cause retention of fluid in your body and increase the risk of heart failure. It is more likely to occur in elderly people with compromised heart function. Your doctor will closely monitor the functioning of your heart.

Potential for abuse

Maxgalin M 150 Capsule may cause dependency, especially if you have used other recreational medicines in the past. Inform your doctor if you had a history of substance abuse before receiving this medicine.

High creatinine kinase levels

Myopathy is a condition in which the muscles do not function properly leading to muscle weakness. Use Maxgalin M 150 Capsule with caution in such conditions as this medicine causes an increase in the creatine kinase levels which may worsen your condition.

Use in children and adolesecents

Maxgalin M 150 Capsule is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Maxgalin M 150 Capsule as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment or contact your doctor in case of an overdose of Maxgalin M 150 Capsule.

Maxgalin M 150 Capsule is a combination of Pregabalin and Methylcobalamin. Pregabalin works by reducing the levels of certain chemical transmitters in the brain and slowing down nerve impulses. Methylcobalamin helps in the production of myelin (a substance that protects the nerve fibres) and heals your damaged nerve cells.
