Description
Mag-Anthel-L Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of albendazole and levamisole. It is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of parasitic worm infections. Mag-Anthel-L Tablet works by stopping the growth of parasites, thus it prevents the spread of infection. Mag-Anthel-L Tablet shows some side effects that include diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist for a long time. Avoid taking this medicine if you are previously allergic to it. Mag-Anthel-L Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 2 years of age. Mag-Anthel-L Tablet should be taken with food to avoid gastric irritation. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid taking more than the prescribed doses of Mag-Anthel-L Tablet. How it works
Albendazole works by decreasing the ability of worms to absorb glucose. This results in draining the worm's energy, eventually killing it. Levamisole paralyzes the muscles of the worms and reduces their ability to reproduce. Thus the combination is effective for the treatment of infections caused by worms.
