How it works
Levodopa gets converted into a chemical substance (dopamine) in the brain and relieves the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Benserazide prevents the breakdown of levodopa in the bloodstream and the stomach, which is effective in increasing the amount of levodopa available for transport to the brain.
