Description
Lysoflam Tablet is a combination of diclofenac, paracetamol and trypsin chymotrypsin. It is used to relieve pain and swelling associated with ankylosing spondylitis (Inflammatory arthritis affects your spine and large joints), osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It also provides relief from headaches, toothaches, backaches and strains. The side effects of Lysoflam Tablet include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach upset, loss of appetite, and diarrhoea. Do not use Lysoflam Tablet if you are allergic to it. Maintain caution while taking Lysoflam Tablet if you have any liver and kidney problems. Do not give this medicine in children below 6 years of age. Take Lysoflam Tablet with or without food. Drink an adequate amount of water. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Lysoflam Tablet relieves pain and swelling due to arthritic conditions but does not cure it. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking Lysoflam Tablet.

Allergy

Chronic kidney disease

Higher doses of painkillers may cause kidney diseases if used for a long time. Lysoflam Tablet is not recommended for use if you have any kidney disease associated with the excessive use of painkillers as it may result in serious side effects.

Severe liver impairment

Lysoflam Tablet gets converted to its active form in the liver. High doses of this medicine may damage your liver. Hence avoid using this medicine if you suffer from severe liver disease as it can further increase the risk of liver damage.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

Lysoflam Tablet may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and ulcers. Therefore it is not recommended if you have gastrointestinal ulcers or perforation disorders as it may worsen your health condition.

Gastro-intestinal bleeding

Long term use of Lysoflam Tablet can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious side effects like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestinal wall can occur. Any symptoms such as the appearance of coffee coloured blood in stools, blood vomiting should be reported to your doctor immediately.

Asthma

Lysoflam Tablet may cause allergic reactions in asthma patients. Hence avoid using this medicine if you have asthma especially if allergic to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines.

Liver disease

Take Lysoflam Tablet with extreme caution if you have liver disease. Careful monitoring of liver enzymes is necessary.

5-HIAA Urine Test

This test tells how much 5-HIAA (breakdown products of serotonin) the body is producing. Lysoflam Tablet can interfere with a urine test and may give a false-positive result. It is advised to inform the doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines before undergoing any lab test.
Lysoflam Tablet is generally given as pain killer. Take this medicine with food to avoid stomach irritation. Drink adequate water for easy swallowing. How it works
Lysoflam Tablet is a combination of diclofenac, paracetamol and trypsin chymotrypsin. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by stopping the release of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) that are responsible for causing pain and swelling. Trypsin Chymotrypsin is the proteolytic enzyme that break down the complex proteins into small compounds thereby helps in easy digestion and absorption.
