Lymecycline

Description

Lymecycline is an antibiotic used for the treatment of acne (pimples, whiteheads or blackheads) and other bacterial infections of the body. It reduces the infection by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medicine is not used to treat viral and other non-bacterial infections. Lymecycline can cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc. Most of these side effects are temporary and resolve on their own. Consult your doctor if these side effects are getting worse or persistent. Avoid activities like driving vehicles and operating machines while taking this medicine as it can make you feel dizzy. Lymecycline is taken before food. Your dose will be dependant on the severity of your infection. Take this medicine at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as your symptoms could reoccur. Lymecycline is not recommended in children below eight years of age. Inform your doctor about your current medications and medical conditions before taking this medicine. This will help your doctor to adjust your dose for avoiding any side effects.
