Lotepred T Eye Drops

Lotepred T Eye Drops is an antibiotic eye medication that contains Loteprednol and Tobramycin. It is used to treat bacterial eye infections such as conjunctivitis, keratitis that are characterized by redness and swelling of the eyes. It kills the bacteria by stopping the protein synthesis responsible for certain vital functions of the bacterial cells. It also reduces the swelling and itching caused by the infection. Lotepred T Eye Drops may cause some common side effects like eye discomfort, burning and irritation at the site of application. Inform your doctor if they persist or become severe. Avoid instilling into your ears and nose. In case of accidental contact with these areas, immediately rinse off with water. Do not drive vehicles or operate heavy machines immediately after using Lotepred T Eye Drops as it can cause blurred vision. Lotepred T Eye Drops should be used as prescribed by your doctor. Be sure to complete the entire course of treatment to get the best results and to prevent recurrence of the infection. Follow all the instructions given in the leaflet or package insert. With clean hands, hold the dropper slightly above the eye, hold your lower eyelid as a pouch and gently squeeze the dropper to instil the medication. Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contamination. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution. Lotepred T Eye Drops may not be suitable for all. Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients of this medicine or if you are using any other eye medications. If you use contact lenses, remove them while using these drops. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.
