Description
Lotegate Eye Drops is a combination of Loteprednol and Gatifloxacin. It is indicated for the treatment or prevention of postoperative eye infections caused by bacteria. Lotegate Eye Drops works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of the bacteria and by blocking the action of substances that cause redness, pain, and swelling. Lotegate Eye Drops may cause side effects like eye irritation, dryness, burning, or stinging sensation. Most of these symptoms resolve with time as your body gets used to the medicine. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Lotegate Eye Drops is meant for external use only. Use this medicine as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Ensure that you complete the course of treatment to prevent the risk of re-infection. This medicine is not effective for the treatment of infections caused by viruses or fungi. Lotegate Eye Drops is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have an active or a history of eye conditions like cataracts (clouding of the lens of the eyes leading to blurred vision) or glaucoma (an eye condition that may occur due to increased pressure in the eyes leading to vision loss) before using this medicine.
