Description

Losartar 25 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and other heart complications. You are advised to take this medicine with a proper diet and regular exercise regimen for an optimal control of the blood pressure. This medicine is not recommended for use in children less than 6 years of age.

General warnings

Hypotension

Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or patients who are treated with high-dose diuretics. It is advised to correct this condition before initiating treatment with this medicine or start the treatment at the lowest effective dose.

Hyperkalemia

This medicine may increase the potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalemia). This may cause serious side effects such as fatal cardiac rhythm irregularities. It is advised to avoid potassium-rich foods (potatoes, bananas) and other medicines that may increase potassium levels (ACE inhibitors and potassium supplements) during treatment with this medicine.

Impaired liver function

Losartar 25 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with severe hepatic failure.

Pediatric population

The safety and efficacy of Losartar 25 MG Tablet have not been established in children aged below 6 years. This medicine is not recommended for use in children with GFR less than 30 ml/min.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be taken as soon possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it's already time for your next scheduled dose.
