Description
Lezyncet-A Tablet is a combination of Ambroxol and Levocetirizine. It is used to treat productive cough (wet cough), a cough in which mucus or phlegm is produced. It loosens the thick mucus, thus makes it easier for you to cough out. Lezyncet-A Tablet shows side effects like dryness in mouth, headache, fatigue,etc. It can also induce dizziness and drowsiness, therefore it is recommended not to drive or do anything else that demands mental attention until you know how this medication affects you. Lezyncet-A Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will be determined by your doctor based on your condition. You should continue to take this medication for as long as your doctor prescribes. Abrupt discontinuation may make your symptoms reappear and your condition may worsen. Lezyncet-A Tablet is not advisable for children below 12 years of age due to the lack of safety and efficacy of its use. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, heart disease or any other medical condition. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Gastric ulceration

Gastric ulceration is a sore on the lining of your stomach. It usually occurs due to bacterial infection or medicines like pain killers. Its primary symptom is stomach pain. Do not take Lezyncet-A Tablet if you have such a condition because it may worsen your condition.

Kidney Disease

Lezyncet-A Tablet is not advisable if you have severe kidney disease with creatinine clearance of less than 10 ml/min and undergoing hemodialysis (the process of purifying blood when your kidneys do not work normally). This medicine may cause major side effects and worsen your health condition.

If you missed a dose of Lezyncet-A Tablet at a given time, then take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of Lezyncet-A Tablet, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.

Take Lezyncet-A Tablet as directed by your doctor. Do not take more than what is prescribed. Ensure that the course of treatment is completed. Do not share this medication with other people. Consult your doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. While on treatment with Lezyncet-A Tablet, drink plenty of warm water to help release the congestion and lubricate your throat. Stop taking Lezyncet-A Tablet at least three days before an allergy test, because it may interfere with the findings.

How it works
Lezyncet-A Tablet contain Ambroxol and Levocetirizine as its major ingredients. Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent (helps in thinning and loosening the thick mucus/phlegm).
