Description
Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women (women who have not had periods for more than a year marking the end of menstrual cycles). This medicine works by decreasing the levels of oestrogen in your body. Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet may cause side effects such as tiredness, loss of appetite, joint pain and stiffness, nausea/vomiting, dizziness, diarrhoea, constipation, increased sweating, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or if they become severe. Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet is taken once a day, with or without food. Do not break, chew, or crush the tablet. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body and for ease of remembering. Do not discontinue the medicine without consulting your doctor. Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have a history of osteoporosis (a condition with weak and brittle bones), high cholesterol levels, or pre-existing liver problems before taking this medicine. It is not recommended for use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Hypercholesterolaemia is a condition with high blood cholesterol (fats) levels. Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet may increase your risk of hypercholesterolaemia and should be used with caution if you have increased blood cholesterol levels. Your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your blood cholesterol levels during treatment with this medicine.

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a condition in which your bones become weak and brittle. It also increases your risk of bone fractures. Letromac 2.5 MG Tablet should be used with caution as it may increase your risk of osteoporosis.
