Description
Lerka 20 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Patients are advised to follow a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine to get the best possible effect. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of severe liver function impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.

Unstable angina

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of unstable angina since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Congestive Heart Failure

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with an untreated congestive heart failure since it may worsen the patient's condition.

Pregnancy

This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women due to the increased risk of fetal harm. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.

Breast-feeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the medicine based on your clinical condition.
General warnings

Mild to moderate liver impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of liver function impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects including a very low blood pressure. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Driving and Operating machines

This medicine may cause symptoms such as dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating heavy machinery if you experience dizziness while taking this medicine.

Mild to moderate renal impairment

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of renal function impairment due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Angina pectoris

This medicine should be used with caution due to the increased risk of angina pectoris. This risk is especially higher in patients with heart diseases and especially at the beginning of therapy. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Use in pediatrics

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Missed Dose

The missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is advisable to skip the missed dose if it is already time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
