Description

Allergy

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to levocetirizine.

Kidney Disease

Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use in patients with end-stage kidney disease and creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. It is not recommended for use in children below 12 years with an impaired kidney function.

General warnings

CNS Depression

Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT may cause mild to moderate CNS depression resulting in sleepiness, difficulty in concentrating, etc. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience these side effects during treatment with this medicine.

Alcohol

Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use by patients who consume alcohol on a regular basis due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

Other Medicines

Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT may increase the risk of sleepiness and impaired thinking when taken with medicines that are sedatives or tranquilizers. It is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs or supplements before beginning treatment with Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT.

Elderly population

This medicine should be used with caution in the elderly population due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Infants

Lecope 5 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use in children younger than 6 months of age. Safety and effectiveness of this medicine are not clinically established for such patients.

Urinary retention

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with spinal cord lesions or prostatic hyperplasia since it may increase the risk of urinary retention.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
