Description
Lamez 25 MG Tablet is a medicine used to treat epilepsy (a condition characterised by abnormal electrical activity in the brain resulting in abnormal behaviour such as uncontrolled jerking movements, stiffed muscles, and loss of consciousness) in adults and children. It is also used to delay episodes of mood swings in adults with bipolar disorder (shift in the emotional state from extreme happiness to extreme sadness). It works by inhibiting the release of chemicals responsible for abnormal brain activity. Lamez 25 MG Tablet shows common side effects such as sleep problems, loss of energy, back pain, dry mouth, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and stomach pain. These side effects usually subside with time. However, if they persist or worsen, consult your doctor for further assistance. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication as it can cause dizziness, blurred vision, and loss of coordination. Lamez 25 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food. Follow the instructions given by your doctor about the dose and duration of treatment. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Take the medication at the same time every day for ease of remembering. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting your doctor as it can worsen your condition. Avoid consumption of alcohol during treatment with this medicine, as it can increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, and difficulty in concentrating. Lamez 25 MG Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver/kidney problems, irregular heartbeats, or meningitis (swelling of the protective layer surrounding the brain and spinal cord) before starting the treatment with this medicine. Lamez 25 MG Tablet may be unsafe for use during pregnancy. It is known to pass into breast milk, hence consult your doctor before taking the medicine if you are breastfeeding.
