Description
Lametec 50 MG Tablet DT is a medicine used in the treatment of epilepsy (a condition in which nerve cell activity in the brain is disturbed that affects the brain, causing fits) and bipolar disorder (a mental health problem characterized by extreme mood swings). This medicine works by reducing the abnormal excitation of the brain cells. Lametec 50 MG Tablet DT may cause common side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, dryness in your mouth, nausea/vomiting, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Lametec 50 MG Tablet DT should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in your body. Avoid discontinuing the treatment without consulting your doctor as it may increase the frequency of your seizures (fits). To avoid it, gradual dose reduction is necessary under your doctor’s supervision. Lametec 50 MG Tablet DT should be avoided if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have pre-existing heart, kidney, liver or mental health problems before beginning treatment with this medicine. Close evaluation with respect to your current medicines is necessary to avoid any undesired side effects. Lametec 50 MG Tablet DT is not recommended in children below 2 years of age (epilepsy) and 18 years of age (bipolar disorder).
