Description
Ketograce Sachet is used for the prevention of deficient protein metabolism in kidney diseased patients with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) less than 25 ml/min. Patients are advised to take a limited protein intake of not more than 40 grams per day while receiving this medicine. It helps to delay the progression of kidney disease in patients receiving dialysis. It is also used in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy for slowing down the progression of kidney failure.

General warnings

Hypercalcemia

This medicine should be used with caution since it may increase the risk of increased calcium levels in the body. Reduce the intake of vitamin D and calcium sources if levels are high. Regular monitoring of the calcium levels is necessary while receiving this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Protein intake

Patients are advised to take a limited protein intake of not more than 40 grams per day while receiving this medicine.
