Description
Ketoflam-P Tablet is a combination of Flupirtine and Paracetamol. It is a pain-relieving medication that is used to treat muscle pain, headache, nerve pain, joint pain, post-surgery pain, etc. It works by blocking the actions of certain chemical substances in the body that causes pain. It also inhibits the transmission of pain signals and provides pain relief. Ketoflam-P Tablet may cause common side effects such as nausea, dryness in the mouth, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, heartburn, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. Ketoflam-P Tablet should be taken exactly as advised by your doctor. Take it at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of this medicine in the body. Do not skip a dose or discontinue the treatment without consulting your doctor. Ketoflam-P Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it or have severe liver problems. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, any other medical conditions or taking any other medicines. This medicine is not recommended in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Myasthenia gravis

Myasthenia gravis is a long-term condition that leads to weakness of skeletal muscles, the muscles responsible for movement. Common symptoms include weakness in hands and legs, difficulty in speaking and swallowing, fatigue, shortness of breath, etc. The muscle relaxant effect of Ketoflam-P Tablet may worsen your condition. Hence, this medicine is not recommended in such condition.

Kidney damage

Analgesic Nephropathy is a condition that causes kidney damage due to the long-term use of pain-relievers. Ketoflam-P Tablet is not recommended for use if you have kidney problems associated with excessive use of painkillers.

Severe liver impairment

Ketoflam-P Tablet gets converted to its active form in your liver. This medicine is not recommended if you have severe liver problems as it may cause further damage to your liver.

Cholestasis (Obstruction of bile duct)

Cholestasis is a liver problem that occurs when the flow of bile from your liver is reduced/blocked. Impaired liver function may result in accumulation of Ketoflam-P Tablet and may worsen your condition. Hence, the use of this medicine is not recommended in such condition.

Hepatic encephalopathy

Hepatic encephalopathy is a condition of brain damage caused by impaired liver function. Ketoflam-P Tablet is not recommended as it may worsen your condition.

Driving or Operating Machines

Kidney Disease

Ketoflam-P Tablet should be used with caution if you have any kidney problems due to the increased risk of side effects. Your doctor may recommend tests to monitor your kidney function.

Chronic Malnutrition

Ketoflam-P Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you are malnourished (lack of proper nutrition in the body) as it may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may recommend dose adjustments based on your body weight.

Use in children

Ketoflam-P Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age due to lack of safety and efficacy data.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip a dose of Ketoflam-P Tablet. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Do not double the dose to compensate for a missed one.

5-HIAA Urine Test

Ketoflam-P Tablet may interfere with the urine test and give a false positive result. Inform your doctor and/or lab technician about the use of this medicine before the test is performed.
Ketoflam-P Tablet can be taken with or without food as directed by your doctor. Do not chew or crush the tablet in your mouth. Avoid taking more or less dose than that prescribed by your doctor. Take this medicine for the prescribed duration. Ketoflam-P Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Hence, do not drive or perform activities that require mental alertness if you experience these symptoms. How it works
Ketoflam-P Tablet is a combination of Flupirtine and Paracetamol used to relieve pain. Flupirtine works by inhibiting the transmission of pain signals. Paracetamol decreases the intensity of pain signals to the brain. It also stops the release of prostaglandins, the chemical responsible for pain and increase in body temperature.
