ContainsClobetasol (0.05 %w/v) + Salicylic Acid (3 %w/v)
Description
Kersol C Lotion is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. This medicine is used to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis (a condition where the skin cells build up, resulting in dry patches) and eczema (dry, red, itchy, and bumpy skin that causes skin irritation). Kersol C Lotion contains Clobetasol which prevents the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for redness, swelling, and itching. This medication causes itching and peeling of the outer layer of the skin, thus allowing Clobetasol to penetrate effectively. Kersol C Lotion may cause burning, itching, irritation, and dryness of your skin. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen. Kersol C Lotion should be applied externally to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using this medicine for the prescribed duration to avoid a flare-up of your symptoms. Kersol C Lotion should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding or are planning a pregnancy, consult your doctor before using this medication.

How it works
Kersol C Lotion is a combination of Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid. Clobetasol belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids (steroids). It works by decreasing the formation of certain chemical substances in your body that are responsible for causing redness, swelling, and itching of the affected part of your skin. Salicylic acid causes the outer layers of your skin to peel and shed where it is applied. Since it takes off the upper layer of your skin, when given in combination, it allows Clobetasol to penetrate effectively.
