Description
Iprazest Respules is a combination of Ipratropium and Levosalbutamol. This medicine is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, etc. caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (a lung disorder in which the airflow is blocked leading to breathing difficulty). It works by relaxing and widening the muscles in your airways. Iprazest Respules may cause some side effects like headache, cough, mouth dryness, nausea, constipation, etc. Inform your doctor if the side effects become severe or persist for a long time. Iprazest Respules should be used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, use it around the same time every day. Even if you see an improvement in your condition, do not stop taking it. If you discontinue the use of this medicine early, your symptoms may return or worsen. Iprazest Respules is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age. Inform your doctor about any other health issues like liver, kidney, heart troubles or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

Narrow-angle glaucoma

Narrow-angle glaucoma is a condition in which pressure inside your eyes increases. It happens due to fluid build-up caused by blocked drainage canals. Iprazest Respules is not recommended in people with narrow-angle glaucoma as it may increase the risk of mydriasis (a condition in which the pupil of the eye gets widened due to increased eye pressure).

Urinary Retention

Urinary retention is a condition in which you are unable to empty your bladder (the organ in which the urine is stored) completely. Iprazest Respules should be used with extreme caution if you have any urinary problems as this medicine can increase the risk of side effects such as urinary retention and urinary hesitancy.

Use in children

Iprazest Respules is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age since the safety and efficacy of its use are not clinically established.

Other medicines

Iprazest Respules may interact with many other medicines and may cause side effects. Hence, it is advised that you inform the doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs and supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.

Paradoxical bronchospasm

Paradoxical bronchospasm is a condition in which there is constriction of the airways due to the use of bronchodilator medicines (medicine that makes breathing easier by relaxing the muscles in your lungs and widening the airways). Iprazest Respules has been associated with worsening of asthma symptoms in some instances. Contact your doctor immediately if breathing becomes more difficult after using this medicine. It is advised to discontinue this medicine immediately in such cases.

Excessive use

Iprazest Respules is strictly recommended for use in the prescribed quantities only; excessive use may cause side effects and may lead to a life-threatening condition.

Use in elderly

Iprazest Respules should be used with caution in elderly people because the risk of severe side effects is significantly high.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Iprazest Respules, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Using this medicine while you have kidney problems will lead to its accumulation. This can cause permanent damage to your kidneys and worsen your condition. Liver Disease

Iprazest Respules should be used with extreme caution if you have a history of liver problems. This medicine breaks down in your liver and is excreted through urine. If you have a damaged liver, the medicine will get accumulated inside and lead to toxicity and can worsen your condition. Inform your doctor about any liver problems that you have.

Heart Disease

Use Iprazest Respules exactly as prescribed. The prescribed frequency and duration of uptake are specific as per your needs. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller quantities or for longer than recommended. Consult your doctor if you experience any side effects. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor. Iprazest Respules is only for inhalation. The tablet should not be swallowed. It is recommended to be taken every day at the same time. It does not act immediately and should not be used to treat acute respiratory problems.  It may cause mouth dryness. Use mouth rinses, maintain dental hygiene, increase water consumption, and consume sugarless sweets to avoid dry mouth. To avoid fungal infections in your mouth and throat, gargle with warm water after each inhalation. Take the initial dose of this medication under medical supervision because it might induce bronchospasm (wheezing or tightness of the airways) right after usage.
