Description
Intizox Tablet is a combination of Diclofenac, Paracetamol and Chlorzoxazone medicine. It is used for the treatment of pain, swelling, and tenderness associated with muscle injury and muscle spasms. It may also be used to treat pain and swelling in post-surgical patients. This medicine blocks the release of certain substances that cause pain and swelling and reduces the pain impulse from the affected site to the brain, thus relieving pain and swelling effectively. Intizox Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Do not take it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor. Intizox Tablet shows some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhoea. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. This medicine may cause dizziness or sleepiness in some people. Avoid driving or operating machines if you feel dizzy or sleepy after taking this medicine. Avoid consuming alcohol with this medicine. Intizox Tablet may not be safe for you if you have stomach ulcers or any medical conditions of your heart, liver or kidney. It may also interact with any medications that you may be taking. Inform your doctor about any medical conditions that you have and also about any active medications that you are taking before starting treatment with Intizox Tablet. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Avoid taking Intizox Tablet if you are allergic to it or any other NSAIDs (pain killers). Seek medical attention if you come across any allergic reactions such as skin rashes, hives (painful eruptions that itch and sting), swelling (face, lips, tongue, etc.), breathing difficulty, etc.

Peptic Ulcer

Peptic ulcer(s) are the sores in the lining of the stomach and intestine. Avoid using Intizox Tablet if you have stomach ulcers, as it may cause stomach bleeding and worsen the ulcers.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is a surgical procedure that restores normal blood flow to the heart muscle. Avoid using Intizox Tablet for relieving pain after heart surgery.

Chronic Kidney disease

Intizox Tablet is excreted through the kidneys. A damaged kidney cannot filter out this medicine effectively and it will get accumulated leading to worsening of your condition and other undesirable effects. Avoid taking Intizox Tablet if you have any medical condition of your kidneys.

Severe liver impairment

Intizox Tablet is broken down and absorbed in the liver. A damaged liver cannot absorb this medicine effectively, leading to its accumulation. This will further damage your liver and worsen your condition. Do not take Intizox Tablet if you have pre-existing liver problems

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Intizox Tablet may cause stomach and intestinal bleeding and ulcers. Therefore, it is not recommended for use if you have ulcers or any other gastrointestinal conditions as it may worsen your condition.

Effect on heart

Caution should be exercised with Intizox Tablet use in patients with heart diseases due to the increased risk of heart attack and other complications in the heart, especially upon prolonged use. Close monitoring of heart function and vital signs is indicated.

Stomach and intestinal toxicity

Intizox Tablet may cause damage to the stomach, intestines, liver, etc., especially on prolonged use. This risk is especially higher if you have a history of stomach and intestinal problems. Talk to your doctor about the signs that you should look out for, like chronic indigestion, blood in stool or vomit, etc., while taking this medicine. Inform him immediately if you come across these symptoms.

Skin allergies

Intizox Tablet may cause serious skin allergies without any warnings. If you experience any symptoms such as rashes, hives (painful eruptions that sting), or any other allergic symptoms inform your doctor without any delay.

Fluid retention and oedema

Chronic Malnutrition

Missed Dose

If you forget to take a Intizox Tablet dose, make sure that you remember to take your next dose when it is due. Do not take two doses together to make up for the missed dose.

NSAID-induced asthma

NSAID-induced asthma is an allergic condition of the respiratory system caused by the use of NSAIDs. In this, there is a narrowing and mucous secretion in the air pathway of your lungs leading to severe breathing difficulty. Intizox Tablet is not recommended for use in this condition.

Heart attack and Stroke

Intizox Tablet may cause a heart attack, stroke (death of brain cells due to the insufficient blood supply) or other associated symptoms upon prolonged use. This risk is especially high if you have a history of heart problems or stroke. Your heart function will be closely monitored by your doctor in such cases.

5-HIAA Urine Test

Intizox Tablet can interfere with a urine test and may give a false-positive result. It is advised to inform your doctor and lab technician about all your current medications before undergoing any lab test.
Take Intizox Tablet with food. Do not crush, break or chew the Intizox Tablet. Do not take in larger amounts than advised. Do not self-medicate or stop on your own unless directed by your doctor. This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Ithis medicine as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older people may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and a higher risk of falling as a result of taking this medicine.
