Description
Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet is a combination of Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. It is used for oral contraception (prevention of pregnancy). It works by preventing the fertilization of the egg. Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet may cause some side effects like nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, weight gain, irregular or missed periods, slight bleeding between periods, breast enlargement, changes in mood, etc. Most of these side effects subside with time as your body gets used to the medication. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a long time or worsen. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like blurred vision, chest pain, unexplained swelling in the arms or legs, severe headache, rashes, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting), itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, difficulty breathing, etc. Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet should be taken every day for 21 days starting from the first day of your menstrual cycle (first day of bleeding). Then there should be a gap of seven days, after which the medicine should be continued again. Take this medicine at the same time every day for the ease of remembering. Make sure you do not miss a dose, as you are more likely to become pregnant in such cases. Avoid smoking during treatment with Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet as it may increase the risk of blood clots, heart attack, or stroke (brain damage due to the interrupted blood supply to the brain). Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet should be avoided if you have heart or liver problems, stroke, uncontrolled high blood pressure, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, or liver, breast, or uterus/cervix cancer. Inform your doctor if you have other medical conditions to make sure this medicine is safe for you. Intimacy Plus 3 Tablet is not recommended for use before menarche (the first occurrence of menstruation). It is not recommended for use if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding.
