Description
Indapamide (Cipla) 2.5 mg Capsule is a diuretic used to reduce high blood pressure as well as edema (swelling) and fluid retention caused by heart diseases. It should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney diseases due to the increased risk of severe side effects. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes level is necessary while taking this medicine.

General warnings

Hepatic dysfunction

Indapamide (Cipla) 2.5 mg Capsule should be used with extreme caution in patients suffering from liver diseases due to an increase in the risk of serious adverse effects including coma. Close monitoring of liver function is advised while taking this medicine. Report any symptoms of confusion or jaundice to the doctor on priority. Therapy with the medicine may need to be discontinued based on the clinical condition.

Renal disease

Indapamide (Cipla) 2.5 mg Capsule may cause Azotemia in patients with a known history of a severe renal disease. Close monitoring of kidney function is necessary while taking this medicine. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.

Volume and electrolyte depletion

Indapamide (Cipla) 2.5 mg Capsule may alter the blood volume levels and electrolytes levels. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. Missed Dose
