Idoxuridine

Description

Idoxuridine, the primary ingredient of Idoxuridine, is available as an ophthalmic solution (eye drops) and ophthalmic ointment (eye ointment). Idoxuridine is used for the treatment of simplex keratitis, eye infection in the cornea caused by the herpes simplex virus. The ophthalmic ointment form of this medicine is used to treat the lesions due to simplex keratitis epithelial infection.

Driving or operating machinery

Use of this medicine may cause blurred vision in some patients. If you experience blurred vision, it is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery until your vision clears.
