Description
Hosit Tablet consists of Methylcobalamin, Pyridoxine, and Folic Acid. It is a vitamin supplement used to treat nutritional deficiency and anaemia (low number of red blood cells). This medicine provides the required nourishment to your body and improves your health. Hosit Tablet rarely shows side effects. However, in some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, upset stomach, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if they bother you for a long time or become severe. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it. Avoid consuming alcohol as it reduces the effectiveness of this medicine. Hosit Tablet may be taken in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering. Hosit Tablet is not recommended for use if you have Leber's disease (nerve condition that leads to sudden, painless vision loss). Inform your doctor if you have any other medical conditions and about all your ongoing medications. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Allergy

Avoid taking Hosit Tablet if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.

Leber's Disease

Leber's disease is an eye condition in which the nerves in the eyes get damaged, leading to loss of vision. Hosit Tablet is not recommended for use if you have Leber's Disease as it may worsen your condition.

General warnings

Elderly

Elderly people may have a reduced capacity to absorb Hosit Tablet through the intestine. Hence it should be used with caution in the elderly. Appropriate dose adjustments may be necessary based on the condition.

Other medicines

Many medicines may interact with Hosit Tablet and decrease the effect of this medicine or cause undesired effects. Hence, inform your doctor about all your current medicines, including herbs and supplements.

Gastrointestinal surgery

Avoid taking Hosit Tablet if you recently had gastrointestinal surgery (surgery related to the stomach and intestine) as it may lead to reduced absorption of this medicine.

Missed Dose

Try not to skip a dose of Hosit Tablet. In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, skip the missed dose if it is time for the next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose
