Description
Hicet DC Tablet is a combination of Cetirizine and Phenylephrine. It is used to treat common allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, cough, watery eyes, and nasal congestion. It works by blocking the action of a chemical substance and provides relief from allergy. It also acts on the blood vessels in the nose and helps in relieving congestion. Hicet DC Tablet may cause some common side effects such as sleepiness, diarrhoea, nausea, dryness in the mouth, dizziness, headache, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms stay for a long time or if they become severe. Hicet DC Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor. In case of a missed dose, take it as soon as you remember, provided it is not time for the next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one. In case of an overdose, consult your doctor immediately. Hicet DC Tablet is not recommended if you are previously allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, high blood pressure or diabetes. It is not recommended in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Allergy

Avoid taking Hicet DC Tablet if you are previously allergic to it. Severe kidney impairment

Hicet DC Tablet is not recommended if you have severe kidney problems with a creatinine clearance less than 10 ml/min as it may worsen your condition.

Due to the lack of sufficient safety data in pregnant women, the risk to the developing foetus is not known. If you are pregnant, use Hicet DC Tablet only if prescribed by your doctor.

Breast-feeding

Hicet DC Tablet passes into breastmilk. Hence if you are breastfeeding, this medication is not recommended.
General warnings

Driving or operating machines

Hicet DC Tablet may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid performing any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.

Other Medicines

Hicet DC Tablet may interact with other medicines and increase the risk of side effects. Inform your doctor about all your current medicines including any herbs or supplements before beginning treatment with this medicine.
