Description
Grilinctus-BM Tablet is a combination of Bromhexine and Terbutaline. It is used for the management of productive cough and bronchospasm (constriction of airway tubes). This medicine works by clearing the mucus present in the airway tubes and relaxing them to improve airflow to the lungs. Grilinctus-BM Tablet can cause side effects like headache, indigestion, bloating, palpitations, nausea, vomiting, etc. These side effects usually subside with time. However, consult your doctor for further assistance if they persist or worsen. Avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines while taking this medication as it can cause dizziness. Grilinctus-BM Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take this medicine at the same time every day to maintain a constant level of medicine in your body. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor as your symptoms may reoccur. Grilinctus-BM Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. It should be taken with caution if you have high blood pressure and sugar level or any heart-related conditions. Inform your doctor about your current medications and existing medical conditions. This will help your doctor to adjust your dose for avoiding side effects. It should only be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding only after consulting your doctor.

General warnings

Glaucoma

Grilinctus-BM Tablet should be used with caution if you have glaucoma (a group of eye disorders that causes blindness). This medicine may cause dilation of the pupil, increased pressure within the eye, blurred vision, and other visual disturbances that may worsen your condition.

Heart diseases

Grilinctus-BM Tablet should be used with caution if you have conditions related to heart or blood vessels as it may increase the risk of heart failure (a condition in which the heart is not able to pump a sufficient amount of blood). Your doctor may suggest tests to regularly monitor your heart and kidney function during treatment with this medicine.

Hyperthyroidism

Hyperthyroidism is a condition where your thyroid gland makes and releases high levels of thyroid hormone. Grilinctus-BM Tablet should be used with caution if you have a known history of hyperthyroidism. An abrupt withdrawal of therapy in such cases may worsen your condition. Your doctor will discontinue the therapy gradually over a period of one to two weeks, when necessary, to decrease this risk.

Driving vehicles or operating machines

You may experience symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, and weakness, after taking Grilinctus-BM Tablet. Avoid performing any tasks that need high mental focus, such as driving vehicles or operating machines.

Use in children

Grilinctus-BM Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than six years of age as the safety and efficacy of its use are not clinically known.

Missed Dose

Do not miss the dose of Grilinctus-BM Tablet. In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Grilinctus-BM Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose.

How it works
