Description
Greno-D Tablet is a combination medicine that consists of Domperidone and Paracetamol. It is used to treat symptoms of migraine headache (a throbbing pain on one side of the head). It is also used in the treatment of medical conditions associated with fever and nausea/vomiting. Greno-D Tablet works by blocking certain chemicals that cause pain and swelling. It also blocks certain substances in the brain that trigger nausea or vomiting during migraine headaches. This medicine can only decrease the number and severity of migraine attacks but may not completely cure them. Greno-D Tablet show common side effects like dry mouth, stomach upset and diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Greno-D Tablet can be taken before food or as advised by your doctor. The dose of the medicine and duration of the treatment will be decided by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Greno-D Tablet. Greno-D Tablet is not recommended if you have kidney, liver, heart or stomach problems. Also, it is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age and who weigh less than 35 kg. This medicine may interact with many other medicines. Let your doctor know about all your current medications if any as they may interact with this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before taking Greno-D Tablet.

Allergy

Severe kidney disease

Greno-D Tablet is excreted through the kidneys. An impaired kidney cannot filter out this medicine completely. It may lead to the accumulation of this medicine and further lead to serious side effects. Avoid taking Greno-D Tablet if you have kidney problems.

Severe liver disease

Greno-D Tablet is broken down and absorbed in the liver. A damaged liver cannot absorb this medicine effectively, leading to its accumulation. This may damage your liver and worsen your condition. Avoid taking Greno-D Tablet if you have pre-existing liver problems.

Pituitary gland tumour

Greno-D Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a prolactin-releasing hormone tumour of the pituitary gland. This medicine is known to have a prolactin-releasing effect which may increase the risk of worsening your condition.

Heart diseases

Greno-D Tablet is not recommended for use if you have heart problems like congestive heart failure (a condition where your heart cannot pump blood efficiently) as it can result in QT prolongation (changes in the pattern of heartbeat), and affects your heart's normal functioning. This can increase the risk of worsening your condition.

Gastrointestinal hemorrhage

Greno-D Tablet is not recommended if you are having stomach or intestinal bleeding as it may worsen your condition.

Chronic malnutrition

Greno-D Tablet should be used with extreme caution if you are malnourished (a condition where your body does not get enough nutrients) due to the increased risk of serious side effects. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine or prescribe a suitable alternative as needed based on your condition.

Use in children

Greno-D Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 12 years of age and who weigh less than 35 kg.

Use in elderly

Greno-D Tablet should be used with caution in elderly people due to the increased risk of serious side effects.

Prolactin imbalance

Greno-D Tablet may cause an imbalance in the levels of prolactin, resulting in abnormalities in the menstrual cycle in women. Prolonged use of this medicine can also result in a breast-like growth in men.

Missed Dose

Do not skip any scheduled dose of Greno-D Tablet. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of Greno-D Tablet, seek immediate medical help.

5-HIAA Urine Test

5-HIAA urine test measures the amount of serotonin (a key hormone that stabilizes our mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness) in your body. Greno-D Tablet can interfere with urine tests and may give a false-positive result. Inform your doctor and lab technician about all your current medicines before undergoing any lab test.
Greno-D Tablet is used to treat migraine headache. It should be taken before a meal or as advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose of Greno-D Tablet. Greno-D Tablet may cause dry mouth as a side effect. Frequent mouth rinses, good oral hygiene, increased water intake and sugarless candy may help in overcoming this effect. Inform your doctor if you are taking any pain relief medicine. This medicine can only decrease the number and severity of migraine attacks but may not completely cure them. Inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart or gastrointestinal problems and also, if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before taking the medicine.
