Manufactured byUsv Ltd.
ContainsMetformin (500 mg) + Glipizide (5 mg)
Description
Glynase Mf (500/5 mg) Tablet is a combination of Metformin and Glipizide. It is an anti-diabetic medicine used in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (a condition in which your blood sugar levels are high because your body does not use the insulin hormone it makes properly to move sugar from the blood into the cells). This medicine works by improving the body’s response to insulin (a hormone that enables your body to use sugar) and decreasing sugar production in the liver. Glynase Mf (500/5 mg) Tablet shows common side effects such as stuffy nose, sore throat, stomach upset, nausea, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, or low blood sugar levels. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Glynase Mf (500/5 mg) Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take the medicine as per the prescription. For ease of remembering, take it around the same time every day. Do not discontinue the use of this medicine unless advised by your doctor, even if your sugar levels are normal. If you stop taking the medicine suddenly, it may worsen your condition and/or lead to further complications. Glynase Mf (500/5 mg) Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it. It is not recommended if you have severe kidney problems or condition that causes an increased acid level in the body such as metabolic acidosis and diabetic ketoacidosis. It should be taken with caution if you have liver conditions, congestive heart failure (inability of the heart to pump an adequate amount of blood), or deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (an enzyme that prevents premature destruction and damage of red blood cells). Glynase Mf (500/5 mg) Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age due to the lack of safety and efficacy data. If you are pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine. It should be used with caution if you are 65 years of age or above.
