Description
Fungitop 2% Gel is an antifungal cream that consists of Miconazole. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin like athlete's foot (a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes), jock itch (a fungal infection that causes a red and itchy rash in warm and moist areas of the body) and ringworm infections. It kills and stops the growth of fungi by damaging their cell wall, thereby killing them. Fungitop 2% Gel may cause mild side effects like itching, burning sensation, irritation and redness at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or worsen. Do not use Fungitop 2% Gel if you are allergic to it. Fungitop 2% Gel is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply a thin layer over the affected parts of your skin. Avoid contact with your eyes and mouth. Rinse with water immediately if the medicine comes in contact with these areas. Avoid using other medications on the same area while using Fungitop 2% Gel. Fungitop 2% Gel may take a few days or weeks for improving your condition. Therefore, it is advised to complete the whole treatment with this medicine as prescribed. Inform your doctor if you have liver problems before using Fungitop 2% Gel. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before using this medicine. Inform your doctor if the condition has not improved even after six weeks of treatment.

Fungitop 2% Gel is an external preparation. Avoid contact with the mouth, eyes, nose, and, ears. In case of accidental contact, wash thoroughly with water. Follow all dosing instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. Do not use this medicine for durations shorter or longer than recommended by your doctor. Apply a thin layer of Fungitop 2% Gel to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. It may take several days to see the effects of Fungitop 2% Gel. Finish the entire course of treatment even if your symptoms begin to clear up after a few days. Avoid scratching or pricking the affected area as it can worsen the infection.
