Description
Formonide 1mg Respules is a combination of Budesonide and Formoterol. This medicine is used to relieve symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathing difficulties, coughing, etc. These are symptoms seen in asthma (a condition that affects your airways and causes breathing difficulty) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (lung disorder in which the airflow is blocked, which leads to breathing difficulty). Formonide 1mg Respules contains a corticosteroid, medicines which help in reducing pain and swelling and irritation of the affected part, and a bronchodilator, medicines that help to widen your airways. This medicine works by reducing swelling and irritation in your lungs. It also relaxes and widens the muscles in your airways. Formonide 1mg Respules may cause some side effects like thrush (a fungal infection), sore throat, cough and hoarse voice. Inform your doctor if the side effects become severe or persist for a long time. Formonide 1mg Respules should be used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. For the ease of remembering, use it around the same time every day. Even if you see an improvement in your condition, do not stop taking it. If you discontinue the use of this medicine too soon, your symptoms may return or worsen. Formonide 1mg Respules is not recommended for use in children and adolescents less than 18 years of age. Inform your doctor about any other health issues like liver, kidney, heart troubles or if you are undergoing any medical treatment before taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.

How it works
Formonide 1mg Respules is a combination of Budesonide and Formoterol. Budesonide inhibits the release of certain chemical substances that are responsible for causing pain, redness, and swelling. Formoterol relaxes and opens the blocked air passages leading to the lungs; this improves the amount of airflow to your lungs and makes breathing easier. Their combination is thus more effective for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
