Description
Femiprost 250 mcg Injection is a medicine used for the management of excessive bleeding from the uterus after delivery. It is also used for the termination of pregnancy (abortion) in the 13th to 20th weeks of pregnancy. This medicine is also used in cases of incomplete abortion (when the dead foetus is not completely evacuated from the foetus). Femiprost 250 mcg Injection is given as an injection deep into the muscles only under the medical supervision of a doctor. It works by contracting the uterine smooth muscles. Femiprost 250 mcg Injection can cause some side effects which include vomiting, nausea, flushing, headache, cough, chills, swelling in the lining of the uterus and placental retention. Inform your doctor if these symptoms do not subside by time or become severe. Femiprost 250 mcg Injection can cause an increase in your body temperature which will return to normal after some time. Avoid doing any activity that requires concentration after taking this injection as it may cause decreased alertness, dizziness and drowsiness. Femiprost 250 mcg Injection is only given after delivery, it is not recommended to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have anaemia, jaundice, diabetes, epilepsy, heart, lung, kidney or liver diseases, before receiving this injection.

Allergy

Cardiovascular diseases
