Description

Fabiflu Tablet is an antiviral medicine that is used to treat mild to moderate coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. This medicine prevents the virus from multiplying in the body. Since 2014, this medicine is approved in Japan to treat cases of influenza that were unresponsive to conventional treatment.

Hyperuricemia

This medicine may increase the uric acid levels in the blood and hence should be used with extreme caution in patients with hyperuricemia (increased uric acid levels in the blood), gout, or a history of gout. Report any unusual symptoms such as pain, swelling, or stiffness in joints, difficulty in movement, etc. to the doctor immediately. Close monitoring of the blood uric acid levels, appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary based on the clinical condition.

Missed Dose

If this medicine is used in the clinical/hospital setting, the likelihood of a missed dose is very low. The outpatients should contact the doctor immediately for further instructions in case of a missed dose.

Overdose
