ContainsAmoxycillin (80 mg) + Clavulanic Acid (11.4 mg)
Description
Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. It is used orally to treat many bacterial infections of the lungs and airways, middle ear, sinuses, skin, teeth, and urinary tract. This combination medicine is capable of killing bacteria that are resistant to other therapies. Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops contains Amoxycillin that interferes with the growth and division process of the bacterial cell wall while clavulanic acid ensures extended anti-bacterial activity. This medicine is generally meant to be used in children. However, your doctor may prescribe this medicine if you are not able to swallow a tablet or capsule that has the same combination. Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops can be given to your child with food as it improves absorption and decreases the risks of an upset stomach. Your child's doctor (Paediatrician) will decide the dose and frequency based on the severity of infection, your child's body weight and age. Stick to the dose, time, and the way it has been prescribed. Also, ensure to complete the course of treatment even if your child starts feeling better. Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops shows some common side effects like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and skin rash. Usually, these side effects are self-limiting. Consult your child's doctor at the earliest if any of these side effects persist or worsen. Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops is generally safe for your child, but share your child’s entire medical history with your Paediatrician. This includes any previous episode of allergy, heart problem, a blood disorder, birth defects, lung problem, stomach or intestinal problem, skin disorder, liver and kidney problems. This information is critical as it can help your paediatrician in planning an overall treatment and dose adjustments for your child.

How it works
Enhancin (80/11.4 mg) Drops is a combination of Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin binds to certain specific receptors and prevents the formation of a necessary component for the process of building the cell wall. Clavulanic acid is effective against a specific species of bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotic medicines. Thus, the combination becomes effective against a wide range of bacteria.
