Description

Dydrogesterone is a synthetic progestogen and has a similar action to the female hormone, progesterone. It is used to treat menstrual disorders in women caused due to a lack of hormones. It is also used to reduce the risk of miscarriages or abortions. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

Abnormal vaginal bleeding

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with an undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding. Appropriate tests should be performed to rule out cancer in all cases of abnormal and persistent vaginal bleeding before treatment with Dydrogesterone is initiated.

Liver diseases

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of liver function, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
