Description
Durajoint GM Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee and/or hip joints in adult patients. Patients are advised to undergo appropriate physical therapy and rest along with this medicine to obtain the best possible effect. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents.

Allergy

General warnings

Diabetes mellitus

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of diabetes mellitus due to the increased risk of alteration of blood glucose levels. Close monitoring of blood glucose levels is recommended for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Hyperlipidemia

This medicine should be used with caution in patients with a known history of hyperlipidemia due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition. Close monitoring of liver enzymes and cholesterol levels is recommended during treatment with this supplement. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Use in children

This medicine is not recommended for use in children since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Drowsiness

This medicine may cause drowsiness in rare cases. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience drowsiness during treatment with this medicine.

Diarrhea

Use of this medicine may cause diarrhea or loose stools in the first few days of treatment. Contact your doctor if the complication is not resolved within 3-4 days.

Antibiotic therapy

This medicine should not be taken with antibiotics since the risk of gastric irritation and persistent diarrhea is significantly high in such cases. Your doctor may make appropriate changes to your therapy based on your clinical condition.

Diagnostic tests

It is recommended to monitor liver function, kidney function, complete blood count, and urine tests every six months during treatment with this medicine.

Intense yellowing of urine

Use of this medicine may cause intense yellow coloration of the urine. This is mainly due to the excretion of end products and may not be indicative of any complication.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.

Diacerein works by blocking the actions of a certain specific protein that causes swelling, pain, and degradation of cartilage at bone joints.
