Instructions
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while taking DPK Tablet since it may increase the risk of side effects like confusion, dizziness, and impaired judgment, and stomach bleeding.
Interaction with Medicine
Disease interactions
Asthma is an allergic reaction causing narrowing and excess mucous secretion in the air pathway of your lungs leading to breathing difficulty. People with asthma may experience allergic reactions or the triggering of an asthmatic attack while taking DPK Tablet. Hence, it is not recommended for use in people with asthma, especially those who have a history of allergic reactions with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (a type of painkillers).
Long-term use of DPK Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack in patients with pre-existing heart conditions or heart failure. It should not be used to treat pain after a coronary bypass surgery.
Gastro-Intestinal toxicity
Long term use of DPK Tablet can cause damage to the stomach and intestine. Serious conditions like bleeding, ulceration and a hole in the linings of the stomach or intestinal wall may occur. If you experience chronic indigestion, the appearance of coffee coloured dry blood in stools or vomiting of blood, contact your doctor immediately as these symptoms are suggestive of gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration.
