Description
Dolokind Ortho Tablet is a combination of Glucosamine, Aceclofenac and Methylsulfonylmethane. It is used to treat pain and swelling due to arthritis. It also facilitates the regeneration of damaged protective layers (cartilage) between the ends of bones and reduces friction, thus reducing pain when there is a movement. Dolokind Ortho Tablet may be prescribed alone or with other medications to treat arthritis. Dolokind Ortho Tablet use can cause side effects like nausea, constipation, diarrhoea and indigestion. Urine discolouration may be seen in some people. If any of these side effects do not resolve or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. Dolokind Ortho Tablet should be taken with food to avoid an upset stomach. Do not self-medicate or stop on your own even if you feel better. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it. Do not use it for a longer duration than prescribed and avoid exceeding the prescribed dose. Dolokind Ortho Tablet may not be suitable for everybody. Inform your doctor if you take any other medications or have/had any medical condition of the kidneys, liver, or stomach ulcer(s), etc. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Allergy

General warnings

Skin rash

Dolokind Ortho Tablet may cause skin allergies These events may be severe in rare cases. Signs and symptoms like rashes, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting), fever, or other allergic symptoms should be reported to your doctor immediately. The treatment should be discontinued if these symptoms appear.

Bleeding disorders

Dolokind Ortho Tablet may prolong the blood clotting time and therefore increase the risk of bleeding. Use it cautiously if you have bleeding or clotting defects such as haemophilia (a genetic disorder in which the blood does not clot properly), vitamin K deficiency, and hypoprothrombinemia (deficiency of blood clotting factor prothrombin).

Driving or operating machinery

Dolokind Ortho Tablet may cause sleepiness, blurred vision or dizziness. Hence, it is advised not to drive vehicles and operate heavy machines if you experience the mentioned symptoms after taking this medicine.

Diabetes mellitus

Dolokind Ortho Tablet should be used with caution if there is a known history of Diabetes mellitus due to the increased risk of alteration of blood sugar levels. Your doctor may monitor your blood sugar levels closely.

Missed Dose

If you forget to take a Dolokind Ortho Tablet dose, make sure that you remember to take your next dose when it is due. Do not take two doses together to make up for a forgotten dose.

Overdose

Never take Dolokind Ortho Tablet more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.

Prolonged use of Dolokind Ortho Tablet may cause kidney problems, such as painful urination and protein or blood in the urine. Hence, this medicine should be used cautiously if you have kidney problems. Your doctor may monitor your kidney function closely.

Long-term use of Dolokind Ortho Tablet may increase the risk of a heart attack in people with pre-existing heart conditions or heart failure. Your doctor may monitor your heart function closely.

Take Dolokind Ortho Tablet orally with or after food to avoid stomach irritation. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how Dolokind Ortho Tablet affects you. How it works
Dolokind Ortho Tablet is a combination of Glucosamine, Aceclofenac and Methylsulfonylmethane. Glucosamine helps in the building of cartilage (soft tissue around the ends of bones). Aceclofenac blocks certain chemicals responsible for pain and swelling. Methylsulfonylmethane is a nutritional supplement that helps in maintaining healthy and flexible joints.
