Description
Diclogesic Spas Tablet is a combination of Dicyclomine, Diclofenac, and Paracetamol. It is used to relieve stomach pain and menstrual cramps. This medicine works by relaxing the muscles and blocking the chemical that is responsible for pain. Diclogesic Spas Tablet can cause side effects like constipation, nausea, dry mouth, drowsiness, weakness, etc. Most of these are temporary and resolve on their own. Consult with your doctor if these side effects are bothering you. This medicine can cause blurred vision or dizziness so avoid activities that require mental focus like driving. Diclogesic Spas Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it with food and plenty of water to avoid stomach discomfort. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting with your doctor. Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended if you are allergic to it or if you have a history of stomach ulcers. Inform your doctor if you have any pre-existing liver, kidney, heart, or other problems. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they can interact with each other and cause side effects. Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended for use in children. Allergy

Severe liver impairment

Obstructive conditions

Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended if you have conditions like obstructive uropathy (a condition in which the flow of urine is blocked) and obstructive gastrointestinal diseases (food is prevented from passing normally through your bowel). This medicine may worsen your condition.

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)

Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery is a surgical procedure that increases blood flow to the heart. Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended in such condition as this medicine affects the functioning of your heart.

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended if you have gastrointestinal (stomach and intestine) bleeding as it can lead to excessive bleeding. This medicine can also cause ulcers in your stomach which may contribute to the bleeding. Inform your doctor if you have ulcers or a history of ulcers.

Unstable cardiovascular status in acute hemorrhage

Acute hemorrhage is a loss of blood from damaged blood vessels. Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended if you have such unstable heart and blood vessel problems.

Myasthenia gravis

Myasthenia gravis is a condition that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles responsible for movement. Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended if you have myasthenia gravis as it can worsen your condition.

General warnings

Chronic malnutrition

Increase in the blood pressure

Diclogesic Spas Tablet should be used with caution if you have high blood pressure as it may increase your blood pressure. Your doctor may suggest dose adjustment and/or frequently monitor your blood pressure while you are taking this medicine.

Infectious diarrhoea

Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended for use if you have diarrhoea caused due to bacteria (Clostridium difficile). Your doctor will consider an alternative treatment option based on your clinical condition.

Tardive dyskinesia

Diclogesic Spas Tablet should be avoided if you have Tardive dyskinesia (involuntary movement of the tongue, lips, face etc) as it can trigger the symptoms and worsen your condition. Inform your doctor if you are taking any antipsychotic medications before starting the treatment.

Driving or operating machines

Use of Diclogesic Spas Tablet may cause blurred vision, drowsiness or dizziness. Hence, it is advised that you avoid perform any activities such as driving or operating machines.

Use in Children

Diclogesic Spas Tablet is not recommended to be used in children as not enough studies are done to understand its safety and efficacy in children.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose of Diclogesic Spas Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Overdose

Never take more than the prescribed dose. Reach the nearest emergency medical department or contact your doctor if you have accidentally or intentionally consumed more than the prescribed dose of Diclogesic Spas Tablet.

Bleeding disorders

Diclogesic Spas Tablet should be used with caution if you have any bleeding disorders due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary.

How it works
Diclogesic Spas Tablet is composed of Dicyclomine, Diclofenac and Paracetamol. Dicyclomine works by relaxing the smooth muscles that relieve the symptoms like stomach and intestinal cramping.
